Field Hockey

Registration begins Wednesday, May 17th at 10am!


Description: Fall Field Hockey (Grades for Fall Field Hockey will be determined by the participants grade starting in September 2023)


Fall 2023 Season:
 
Middle School 
Week of Sept 4 - Nov 3
Cost $375
 
Hingham middle school field hockey teams are open to Hingham residents.  Each team will have 2 weekday practices per week and 8-10 games against other towns/teams. Most games will be played on Saturdays.  Practice days/times will be finalized in late August and game schedules will be released the first week of September.  After registration players will be contacted by HYFH coaches with more specific information about the season.  Information about ordering uniforms (additional cost) will be sent out by coaches. 

Elementary

K-3rd

Our K-3 program will focus on teaching field hockey fundamentals through fun games, activities and drills.  Players will rotate through stations where they will play games and learn field hockey basics.  All players need cleats, shin guards, field hockey stick and mouthguard.
 
4th-5th and beginner MS 
3:40 - 5:00
$200

Our 4th - 5th grade program focuses on teaching field hockey fundamentals with a focus on game play.  All players will be divided into teams (no friend requests please) and play a 7v7 game each week.  Coaches will communicate team information at the end of August.

Coach: Emily Kelly

Emily graduated from Connecticut College in 2004 and was on the field hockey team from 2000-2003. She was All American her Sophomore, Junior and Senior seasons, as well as a Regional All American all through her college career. She was selected NESCAC's Rookie of the Year in 2000 and held Connecticut College's all time points record until 2010.
