Adult Pickleball Classes - Adult 3.5+ Competitive Pickleball Class Wednesday Evening Session 1 With Phil Hayman Spring Adult Pickleball!!Adult Novice/Beginner Pickleball Basics This four-session course is for individuals that are new to the sport, have played a few times for fun, or play at a slow pace. You will learn the rules, scoring and positioning on the court. The class focuses on the full variety of shots including dinks, drops, volleys, ground strokes and serves. The goal of the class is to introduce you to all aspects of the game.
Session 1 – 8-9:25 am – Monday/Wednesday – May 12, 14, 19, 21, (Make Up session May 28)
Session 2 – 8-9:25 am – Monday/Wednesday – June 2, 4, 9 and 11 (Make Up session June 16)
Session 3 – 6-8:00 pm – Monday – May 12, 19, June 2 and 9 (Make Up session June 16 )
Session 3 – 8-9:25 am – Monday/Wednesday – June 23, 25, 30 and July 2 (Make Up session July 7)
Adult 3.0-3.5 Recreational Pickleball Class With Phil Hayman**This class is for the player who has had formal instruction and has been playing the game for an appreciable amount of time(2 years+) and wants to improve/advance their skills. They should know the rules, scoring and take this class to:Focus on consistency, shot mechanics and basic strategy to improve overall enjoyment(fun) and court confidence. The coaching style will be more encouraging and corrective. Adult 3.5+ Competitive Pickleball Class With Phil Hayman** This class will be ideal for those players who play the game aggressively with a dynamic mind-set and a desire to compete. These players enjoy the challenge of tournaments. Objectives: to improve shot execution, strategic decision-making and court awareness under pressure. The coaching style will be strategic and analytical. The structure and focus of clinics for 3.5 recreational players versus 3.5+ competitive players will differ in intensity, strategy and drill complexity. **If a class is canceled, Makeup Classes will be held on Friday following the missed classPickleball is a paddle sport that anyone can play and provides a great way to exercise and socialize with friends! Pickleball is easy to learn and can be played for fun or as a fast-paced, competitive game.
Adult Novice Pickleball
Individuals that are new to the sport. Have not been introduced to the rules, scoring and have not hit the ball (or may have a few times) should enroll for this class.CRONIN COURTS Adult Novice/Beginner Pickleball 11-12 am This course is for individuals that are new to the sport or have played a few times for fun. You will learn the rules, scoring and positioning on the court. The class focuses on the full variety of shots including dinks, drops, volleys, ground strokes and serves. The goal of the class is to improve your consistency and game tactics while having fun. Instruction will include drills to learn strokes and shots plus game playing to put the skills learned into practice. Advanced Beginner Pickleball 8 - 9:30 am This course is ideal for people who have learned to play, have a basic understanding of the game and are ready to take their play to the next level. Qualified participants should know the rules, how to keep score, and how to serve and return. They can play a full court game and get balls back over with some consistency. The goal of the class is to focus on skills refinement of your dinks, ground strokes, volleys and drops for accuracy, height and pace. You will work on your serve for consistency, depth and positioning. Tactics, positioning and game strategy will be introduced. Drill and Play 9:30 - 11 am This class is designed for the passionate, experienced player looking to bring their game to the next level by developing refined strategies and techniques, both offensive and defensive. Players are able to keep score, understand shot selection, serve consistently, and understand court positioning. Each class consists of drills and coach-facilitated play. Drills will include work on consistency, keeping the ball low, drives and drops on the 3rd shot, purposeful dinking at the non-volley zone, resetting, transitioning, court positioning and offensive strategies. Game play will feature a variety of formats, scrambles, ladders, and round robin.
