Home Alone Staying Safe - Home Alone Staying Safe
This class will prepare kids (4th -5th grade) to handle most home alone situations, from an unexpected knock on the door to an emergency 911 phone call. It also covers food/kitchen safety, choking prevention and Heimlich Maneuver, basic first aid, handling emergencies, handling fears, safety to and from school, basic street smarts, self-defense techniques and lots of prevention! This dynamic and interactive three-hour class is serious business made fun. Please send your child with a nut free snack and beverage to class.Registration Begins Friday, March 7th at 10am

Description: Chess is a great game for kids to develop their mental and competitive prowess. This course will cover the basic rules and skills of chess: how the pieces move, how to record games and positions, the relative values of the pieces, popular tactics, and fundamental strategy. Yoga Returns to the Yoga Studio in Town Hall!Our Yoga classes will all be held in the large studio located in the basement of the Hingham Town Hall located at 210 Central St.All classes will remain at 8:30 with their same instructors:Yin Yoga Mondays with Carolyn Hatha Yoga Tuesdays with Kathy (In Person Only)Hatha Yoga Wednesdays with Jen (In Person Only)Hatha Yoga Thursdays with Carolyn Slow Flow Yoga Fridays with Jen (In Person Only)Hatha Yoga Saturdays on a rotating schedule with Carolyn, Jen and KathyImportant Things to Remember:1. Classes Begin Promptly at 8:30 AM Please arrive for in person classes no later than 8:20.2. Online Registration and Drop-in Options are available3. Tickets can be bought at the Rec Office (10 ticket packages available to get 1 free class)4. Online Registration will still close at 7:30 AM on the day of the class to ensure that daily rosters can be accurately sent out.5.Tickets do not expire and may be used for any class.6. If you do not have a ticket, you may purchase one on day of the class from the instructor, however, only cash or checks and please bring the exact amount, instructors may not have change.7) Anyone who "misses" a class will be offered the opportunity to transfer their registration into another class. 8) If you register for 9 classes online, please contact the Rec and we will register you for your 10th class for Free (the nine classes must take place prior to the 10th class start).Rec Office: 781-741-1464For Drop-in Yogis, participation will be on a first come first served basis.
