12:45 PM - 3:15 PM	Home Alone Staying Safe - Home Alone Staying Safe January This class will prepare kids (4th -5th grade) to handle most home alone situations, from an unexpected knock on the door to an emergency 911 phone call. It also covers food/kitchen safety, choking prevention and Heimlich Maneuver, basic first aid, handling emergencies, handling fears, safety to and from school, basic street smarts, self-defense techniques and lots of prevention!  This dynamic and interactive three-hour class is serious business made fun.  Please send your child with a nut free snack and beverage to class.Registration Begins Thursday, August 21st at 10am

12:45 PM - 3:15 PM	Babysitting - Babysitter Safety Training February BABYSITTER SAFETY TRAINING, (6-8 grade, age starts at 11.5 years) class is 2.5-hours Parents will feel more secure and be more likely to hire someone who has taken Babysitter Safety Training. Kids who are trained in Babysitter Safety will have more confidence in dealing with the challenges that may face them while caring for children of all ages and stages, from accidents to tantrums. Students will learn about infant and child-care, child development, basic first aid and choking prevention/rescue, injury prevention, safe marketing strategies and much more. 1:15 PM - 2:15 PM	Chess - Chess (Ages 9-13) Description: Chess is a great game for kids to develop their mental and competitive prowess. This course will cover the basic rules and skills of chess: how the pieces move, how to record games and positions, the relative values of the pieces, popular tactics, and fundamental strategy. Kids will play each other to test out what they have learned.
