He created Ije in 2020. The word "Ije" derives from his Nigerian heritage where its literal meaning is "movement". Ije strives to help others adopt this lifestyle no matter what distractions, barriers or challenges arise. Ricky embodies the philosophy: You must "Keep Moving" toward your goals in life.

You will work on your serve for consistency, depth and positioning. Game play will include coaching on tactics, positioning and game strategy. Qualified participants should know the rules, how to keep score, and how to serve and return. They can play a full court game and get balls back over the net for 2 or 3 shots but need to work on finishing the point. Players can get their serve in but need to work on consistency and accuracy. Pickleball Skills Clinics – 3.0-3.5+ level (Intermediate/Advanced) - Adults The Skill Clinics are designed for the passionate and experienced player looking to bring their game to the next level by developing refined strategies and techniques, both offensive and defensive. Qualified players can serve consistently, understand court positioning and shot selection, and are physically fit to move freely around the court.Please try to arrive at the courts earlier to stretch and/or play a few drop-in games to warm-up. Adult Novice Pickleball
Individuals that are new to the sport. Have not been introduced to the rules, scoring and have not hit the ball (or may have a few times) should enroll for this class.CRONIN COURTS Adult Novice/Beginner Pickleball 11-12 am This course is for individuals that are new to the sport or have played a few times for fun. You will learn the rules, scoring and positioning on the court. The class focuses on the full variety of shots including dinks, drops, volleys, ground strokes and serves. The goal of the class is to improve your consistency and game tactics while having fun. Instruction will include drills to learn strokes and shots plus game playing to put the skills learned into practice. Advanced Beginner Pickleball 8 - 9:30 am This course is ideal for people who have learned to play, have a basic understanding of the game and are ready to take their play to the next level. Drill and Play 9:30 - 11 am This class is designed for the passionate, experienced player looking to bring their game to the next level by developing refined strategies and techniques, both offensive and defensive. Players are able to keep score, understand shot selection, serve consistently, and understand court positioning. Each class consists of drills and coach-facilitated play. Drills will include work on consistency, keeping the ball low, drives and drops on the 3rd shot, purposeful dinking at the non-volley zone, resetting, transitioning, court positioning and offensive strategies. Game play will feature a variety of formats, scrambles, ladders, and round robin.

You will work on your serve for consistency, depth and positioning. Game play will include coaching on tactics, positioning and game strategy. Qualified participants should know the rules, how to keep score, and how to serve and return. They can play a full court game and get balls back over the net for 2 or 3 shots but need to work on finishing the point. Players can get their serve in but need to work on consistency and accuracy. Pickleball Skills Clinics – 3.0-3.5+ level (Intermediate/Advanced) - Adults The Skill Clinics are designed for the passionate and experienced player looking to bring their game to the next level by developing refined strategies and techniques, both offensive and defensive. Qualified players can serve consistently, understand court positioning and shot selection, and are physically fit to move freely around the court.Please try to arrive at the courts earlier to stretch and/or play a few drop-in games to warm-up. Individuals that are new to the sport. Have not been introduced to the rules, scoring and have not hit the ball (or may have a few times) should enroll for this class.CRONIN COURTS Adult Novice/Beginner Pickleball 11-12 am This course is for individuals that are new to the sport or have played a few times for fun. You will learn the rules, scoring and positioning on the court. The class focuses on the full variety of shots including dinks, drops, volleys, ground strokes and serves. The goal of the class is to improve your consistency and game tactics while having fun. Instruction will include drills to learn strokes and shots plus game playing to put the skills learned into practice. Advanced Beginner Pickleball 8 - 9:30 am This course is ideal for people who have learned to play, have a basic understanding of the game and are ready to take their play to the next level. Pickleball Skills Clinics – 3.0-3.5+ level (Intermediate/Advanced) - Adults The Skill Clinics are designed for the passionate and experienced player looking to bring their game to the next level by developing refined strategies and techniques, both offensive and defensive. Qualified players can serve consistently, understand court positioning and shot selection, and are physically fit to move freely around the court.Please try to arrive at the courts earlier to stretch and/or play a few drop-in games to warm-up. Friday Night Events - Winter Wonderland Pizza Party We are so Excited to Bring back our FRIDAY NIGHT EVENTS!!!On Select Friday Nights, the Hingham Recreation Department will host an evening of fun and games in our Gameroom and Basketball gym for students in grades Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Our Recreation Staff will be there to oversee (and play) a variety of games (Dodge Ball, Nuke 'em, Soccer...). Our Gameroom will be open and our games will be on-- Skee Ball, Super Bikes, Foosball, Bubble Hockey, mini-basketball, and Sno Cross. We will have boardgames and Card Games (who doesn't want to play Uno? seriously)There will be MusicThere will be Pizza and Chips and Water.And if Parents happen to want to do something on a Friday night for a couple hours while their children are having a blast with the Rec Staff...Everyone wins.Events are $25 online (pre-registration ends an hour before the event) or $30 at the door. Cupcake and Cookie Decorating - Cookie Decorating (Grades 1-3) Cookie and Cupcake Decorating (Grades k-3) and (Grades 4&5) - This six week course is for our younger creative-foodies who are beginning to dabble with creative culinary art. Design, sculpt, and basically have a ball. Decorate and design your desserts with flair. This is not an "eating class" although the productions are certainly delicious. This creativity-focused program encourages our young pastry chefs to explore with the only limits being their own imaginations.

Classes Begin Promptly at 8:30 AM Please arrive for in person classes no later than 8:20.2. Online Registration and Drop-in Options are available3. Tickets can be bought at the Rec Office (10 ticket packages available to get 1 free class)4. Online Registration will still close at 7:30 AM on the day of the class to ensure that daily rosters can be accurately sent out.5.Tickets do not expire and may be used for any class.6. Adult Pickleball - Drop-In Indoor Pickleball Tuesdays January 12:30-2:30 Description: Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the United States. Pickleball combines the rules and fundamentals of ping pong, tennis, and badminton. It is played with a paddle and hard plastic ball with a tennis-type net on a badminton-sized court. Classes will include instruction in technique, tactics and strategy plus game play. The sport is a fun and great workout for all ages and abilities. Come join the Pickleball movement to learn the game or improve your skills. Participants should be prepared to play with court shoes, water, and a paddle. Please sign up for the class that meets your playing ability. This policy is best for you, your classmates and the instructor. If classes are full, join the waitlist and Hingham Recreation will determine if additional classes can be added. Pickleball Skills Clinics - 2.0-2.5 level (Advanced Beginner) - Adults This program is for players who understand the game and are ready to take their play to the next level. The goal of the class is to focus on skills refinement of your dinks, ground strokes, volleys and drops for accuracy, height and pace. You will work on your serve for consistency, depth and positioning. Game play will include coaching on tactics, positioning and game strategy. Qualified participants should know the rules, how to keep score, and how to serve and return. They can play a full court game and get balls back over the net for 2 or 3 shots but need to work on finishing the point. Players can get their serve in but need to work on consistency and accuracy. Pickleball Skills Clinics – 3.0-3.5+ level (Intermediate/Advanced) - Adults The Skill Clinics are designed for the passionate and experienced player looking to bring their game to the next level by developing refined strategies and techniques, both offensive and defensive. Qualified players can serve consistently, understand court positioning and shot selection, and are physically fit to move freely around the court.Please try to arrive at the courts earlier to stretch and/or play a few drop-in games to warm-up. You are welcome to play after the clinic to extend your workout. Max 8 per class
Adult Novice Pickleball
Individuals that are new to the sport. Have not been introduced to the rules, scoring and have not hit the ball (or may have a few times) should enroll for this class.CRONIN COURTS Adult Novice/Beginner Pickleball 11-12 am This course is for individuals that are new to the sport or have played a few times for fun. You will learn the rules, scoring and positioning on the court. The class focuses on the full variety of shots including dinks, drops, volleys, ground strokes and serves. The goal of the class is to improve your consistency and game tactics while having fun. Instruction will include drills to learn strokes and shots plus game playing to put the skills learned into practice. Advanced Beginner Pickleball 8 - 9:30 am This course is ideal for people who have learned to play, have a basic understanding of the game and are ready to take their play to the next level. Qualified participants should know the rules, how to keep score, and how to serve and return. They can play a full court game and get balls back over with some consistency. The goal of the class is to focus on skills refinement of your dinks, ground strokes, volleys and drops for accuracy, height and pace. You will work on your serve for consistency, depth and positioning. Tactics, positioning and game strategy will be introduced. Drill and Play 9:30 - 11 am This class is designed for the passionate, experienced player looking to bring their game to the next level by developing refined strategies and techniques, both offensive and defensive. Players are able to keep score, understand shot selection, serve consistently, and understand court positioning. Each class consists of drills and coach-facilitated play. Drills will include work on consistency, keeping the ball low, drives and drops on the 3rd shot, purposeful dinking at the non-volley zone, resetting, transitioning, court positioning and offensive strategies. Game play will feature a variety of formats, scrambles, ladders, and round robin.
